Jason Bateman is your favorite actor when you forget at least seven other actors exist. Hancock(I believe) was my first exposure to the More Than Good Enough Suburban Dad Actor. A type of character he’d play in Arrested Development, a show that I didn’t particularly fall in love with, but managed to completely binge within one rainy season.
End of March, COVID-(2020), Ozark season 3 is out and I absolutely have no intention of watching it. What I understand from clips seen on Twitter, and scenes I glanced at when my dad was watching, it’s a serious toned show involving white collar crime??? murder??? conspiracy??? All I feel within my heart is that it has to be a show revolved around the wrongdoings of SOMEONE. Probably perpetrated by our main fucking man, Jason Bateman.
I enjoy crime shows, generally. I enjoy binging on Netflix, generally. I enjoy Jason Bateman, generally. But my interest to find out why my friend, Nick, says things like, “Oh man the ending is the craziest thing.”
We all have friends that say the word “the” and the word “craziest” like this, and they always seem to use them in tandem when trying to tell you about something you have a gut feeling is not at all deserving of the adjectives they attach to it.
However, doubt seems to be a powerful element in this period of time. The world’s energy right now is mysterious and is full of people being afraid of the unknown. I’m well aware of this fact, and I’m a victim of my own thoughts with this damn TV show that started years ago.
That’s another thing, starting a show in season 3 is like being born in the 2000’s and listening to Michael Jackson. Yeah, I know he’s the King of Pop but do I have any business jumping on it now? It feels dirty.
Ozark can suck my ass.
